Learn how to upload photos, create an AI 1980s portrait, use credits, and manage your results.

1980s Photo Studio turns a solo or couple photo into an AI-generated 1980s portrait. Start from the photo studio, choose a look, and confirm the 4-credit cost before generation begins.

Prepare your photos

  • Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP files up to 10 MB and 25 megapixels each.
  • Solo mode requires one clear adult portrait.
  • Couple mode accepts one photo together or two separate A/B references.
  • Use photos you own or have permission to process. Clear faces and even light usually provide a better reference than heavy filters.

Selecting a file only creates a local preview. Upload begins after you sign in and confirm generation.

Generate and retrieve a photo

Choose a style, then open Advanced options if you want to change the aspect ratio, film intensity, or add a short description. Each submitted task uses 4 credits and creates one image. A confirmed failure or a task that reaches its unconfirmed deadline returns the reserved credits once.

You can leave the page while a task is running. Return to My Photos to check its status, download the result, try another style, or delete it. Downloading an existing result does not use more credits.

Storage and privacy

Reference copies are kept in private storage for up to 24 hours. Completed images are available for 7 days unless you delete them sooner. Download links expire within five minutes. Generation sends the reference and instructions through OpenRouter to an OpenAI image model; provider-side handling follows the configured provider terms.

Read the Privacy Policy before uploading and the Terms of Service for photo rights, AI-output limitations, credits, and renewal rules.

Plans and billing

Pricing lists the current USD subscriptions. Monthly plans bill and release credits monthly. Annual plans bill once per year and release credits in 12 monthly installments. Unused credits expire at the next monthly refresh. Signed-in customers can review their subscription, payments, and credit history from account settings.

If a payment result is still being confirmed, keep the displayed order number and use the refresh action on that page. Do not start a second checkout while the first one is still being confirmed.
