Will it look exactly like me?
AI results vary. A clear, well-lit reference gives the model a better starting point, but facial features, clothing and details may change. The examples are not a promise of an identical result.
Can I make a couple portrait?
Yes. Choose The two of us, then upload one photo with both adults or two individual photos labeled A and B. Studio Sweethearts, Weekend Together and Everyday Album support two people. Multi-person family composites are not supported.
Can I use these prompts in ChatGPT?
Yes. Prompts can be copied without signing in from our prompt collection when available. Image capabilities and results in other tools may differ. To generate here, upload a photo and use the studio above.
When are credits charged or returned?
A sitting reserves 4 credits when the task is created. A confirmed failure or an unconfirmed task reaching its 10-minute deadline returns those credits once. Making another photo is a new 4-credit task; retrying a download costs nothing.
Who processes my photos, and when are they deleted?
References are sent to OpenRouter and its OpenAI image provider to create your portrait. Our private reference copies expire after 24 hours and results after 7 days. You can delete a completed sitting from My Photos. Previously downloaded copies are yours to manage. See our Privacy Policy for provider processing details.
Is this an official ChatGPT website?
No. 1980s Photo Studio is an independent service, using GPT Image through OpenRouter. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI or ChatGPT.
